13 teams and 43 players were invited to choose between the APA progressive Swiss system and the old favourite round robin, both systems have positives and negatives.

Thanks to all that voted, and the format has been confirmed, Round Robin.
With a round robin format and 13 teams a bye will be required, and 13 rounds need to be played. Due to the decided format the qualifiers will reduce to the first two dates published but for fairness one in Norfolk and one in Suffolk.
The first round of fixtures (Rd 1 – 7) will be played 10th May 2026 at 51 Petanque Club, Great Ellingham.

The second round of fixtures (Rd 8 – 13) will be played 31st May 2026 at British Sugar, Bury St Edmunds.

The original 3rd Date 5th July will move to East Norfolk PC, Lingwood for an open triples competition with an aim of raising funds for additional APA Kit. This is an ideal opportunity for the Regional triple teams to practice before the Inter Regionals Competition 5th & 6th September. Entry for any team playing in the qualifier will be half price, if entered the IR Qualifiers as a team.
During our last Regional Management Committee meeting we performed the random draw.
