3 groups of 4, played 3 timed games to determine the seeding for the quarter finals.
All 3 group winners won 3 out of 3, with the top seeds being Simon Doble & Steve Welford on +24 points difference. 2nd seeds were the reigning champions James Shreeve & Dan Shevlin +22, with the 3rd seeds being Nigel Sayer & Dean Wright on +19.
In the quarter finals and fortunate to scrap in in 8th place, Jallal Talbi & Akil Vasram pulled themselves together to beat Simon & Steve 13-8. James & Dan found themselves 8-0 down to 7th seeds Mick Whymer & David Willis, before scraping through 13-11. Nigel & Dean excellent form continued beating 6th seeds Tony & Cheryl Morgan 13-9. The 2024 champions and seeded 4th,Dan Cooper & Jeff Hoey were comfortable winners over 5th seeds Allen Kemp & Les Shilling 13-4.
In the semifinals Jallal & Akil continued to improve with a 13-5 win over Dan & Jeff, whilst James & Dan saw of a spirited fight from Nigel & Dean to win 13-9.
The final however proved to be a game too many for Jallal & Akil. James & Dan were imperious as they won 13-1, to finish the day unbeaten and retain their champions crown.
In the Plate, Kevin Cumming & Michael Neal won a very close game 13-11 against Jes Fry & Michael Wray.
